I wear these Ray-Bans with Costco’s transition driveway lenses.
I’m here for entertainment and to engage with opinions, views and perspectives different than my own to grow myself. I don’t care if you downvote but if you don’t engage me I can’t learn from it so I may block you as I’ll take it that you don’t want to see my content.

Costco (maybe others too) have these new transition sunglasses and they work through your polarized windshield.
Basically they start out with a light tint but get darker depending on the amount of direct sunlight. I really love them because I don’t have to switch going in and out of stores or whatever and I can wear them when it’s partly cloudy without feeling like it’s night out when under cloud cover.
Probably an old house and the downspout was there first, though it all depends on where in the world this is.
Our next door neighbor’s house has power come in like this and it was built in 1927, before it had electric. Our house, the electric is buried per code for newer construction and ours was built in 1997.
We have a place like that in our city and it’s, hands down, the best pizza available in the area.
You are incorrect.
As the house value increases with the market you can refinance to a new lender with greater equity eliminating the need for PMI.
Hey there,
We have a lot in common, you and I. I was diagnosed with general anxiety after self medicating myself to alcoholism. Therapy and medication both helped me and now I take 100mg of Sertraline to manage it. You are more normal than you think; many people are fighting hidden mental health battles.
I too “failed” college but it didn’t stop me from learning and growing and building a career in IT. Your value and your capability are not determined by a degree. You are a skilled employee and you can build on that skill without the traditional school method, if you want. Depending on where you are IT is a tough market right now. It doesn’t hurt to find out what else is out there and get practice interviewing, but if the market is tight it’s better to only leave your current job if you have a new one lined up.
Now about your current job. If you are the only one who can maintain and develop the company’s software and you’re coworkers are telling you how vital you are then you have leverage to request a pay increase. If you want to go elsewhere then you should do that. You need to take care of yourself and your own well being first.
As the great Bill Withers once sang, “You just call on me, brother, when you need a hand. We all need somebody to lean on. I just might have a problem that you’ll understand. We all need somebody to lean on.”
🤗
I don’t have it but I’m going to say Parkinson’s.
I got put on some medication a number of years ago and one of the common side effects was tremors that “can affect the hands and arms and may also involve the lower limbs, tongue, or voice”.
I’m not much of a crier but it got to a point where I was shaking so bad I had a hard time feeding myself and I broke down over it. I cannot even begin to imagine having to live with that forever. I barely managed a month.
We bought in 2020 and have a 2.875% rate on our mortgage. We only put 10% down and had PMI but the broker was all, “you can refinance to get rid of that”.
I asked him when in the world we’d ever be able to refinance at or below that rate? He had nothing to say to that.
Our bedroom is in the basement and it’s 1/2 below ground level. It’s never gotten above 21°C even on the hottest days.
I stick with Apple because it “just works” for me and they haven’t done anything to piss me off enough to change.
My wife had me block CNN at the network level to stop her reading all the news and becoming depressed.
Battery life would be much better, so more people would buy Samsung phones over Apple
I do think there is a segment that would want that increased battery capacity but this claim ignores both human apathy and inertia.
I’ve had the same issue every time I’ve tried helping someone with an Android phone. I kind of figured it’s because it’s not what I’m used to so it seems foreign.
I had an Android work phone for a while and I got more comfortable with it because I was using the UI regularly.
My parents switched from Android to Apple and they’ve both said they find the iPhone easier to navigate; they’re both ~70 years old.
Personally, I think that Android and Apple appeal to different personalities with different needs and that people are naturally resistant to change.
Lot of boots in Texas which means a lot of bootstraps for them to use to pull themselves up!
In all seriousness, they should be getting aid and relief from the federal government. Thats what FEMA is for, that’s what the true American way should be; supporting each other and helping out where we can.
I wish the best for the residents of Texas but anybody there upset about not getting aid needs has only their local, state and federal government to blame. Unfortunately, some folks will get caught in the middle.
Some people do. I used to have a local 24hr diner that had the carafe that sat on a burner all day and there was just something about the tar black, bitter abyss of that coffee that I liked.
Once I tried good coffee that was bitter, and floral, and nutty, and somehow also a little sweet; really just a well balanced flavor, I understood the difference.
Everyone has different tastes and it’s probable better to say coffee that’s only bitter is not quality coffee bean coffee.
The drop in black coffee consumption in the US is a relatively recent trend. Only 18% of people prefer to drink their coffee black – a 56% decrease from 2022.
If all you’re getting from your coffee is bitterness then it’s not very good coffee.
Yes, both our dogs are allowed on the sofa. We put down blankets if they’re wet/muddy after the park. Otherwise we just Chom chom it every so often and use a Green machine for stains.
For reference we have one border collie pit mix with a single smooth coat, and one heeler border collie mix with a rough double coat.
The heeler mix is our big shedder and the biggest reason we bought a Roomba.
Don’t forget The Tick!
No offense taken. I picked them because they fit the most comfortably for me.
My wife says I look like I’m on vacation this time of year because of how I dress in addition to the sunglasses.
